I read Garofit’s
A Cat Among the Pigeons. I love her style and feel a bit envious the way she can wear the, for me so difficult, 30’s fashion. I especially like her knitted ensemble’s that her talented mother knits for her, like
this one or
this. She doesn’t post often, but her posts are always stunning!
I love her style too! 30's fashions are hard for me to do so I'm always so in love with ladies who pull it off. Her blog is wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteBrittany: I feel the same! So elegant, but not really for me.
ReplyDeleteHi, thank you so much for the mention, I have only just come across it, it is so very kind of you and of the other two ladies commenting. It was a surprise seeing here my silly profile photo, I will have to find time to change that with something less, well, ridiculous :). As for the 30s fashions, I find them tricky too, I am just stubborn and persisting in trying to make some of my wishes reality. More often then not, reality retaliates :). But I guess it's the same with any decade one may choose to withdraw their inspiration from, as rarely anyone is always the perfect shape for all the types of fashion involved within that specific period. So it is a case of marrying the aesthetic wishes with the mortal possibilities.
ReplyDeletegarofit: I hope you don't mind- I remove it if you want to!
ReplyDeleteOf course, you are right and of course there were women who looked like me in the 30's too. It's more my own mindset that makes me feel dumpy and uncomfortable in the style, even if I adore it on others! And I think you pull it of so well!
