The perfect pair of rubber boots
I’m ridiculously pleased with my new spiffy rubber boots . I haven’t owned a pair in years, something I have missed, as it rains quite a lot in Sweden. But all the rubber boots I found where completely flat and I have a troublesome heel that doesn’t like flat shoes. However, as a pair of rubber boots are on my list for year one, I started to look around. Lo and behold, Viking makes rubber boots after a model from 1939. Could I possibly as for more? They are period. They are stylish. They have a 5 centimeter heel .
Excuse me as I feel smug for finding something I truly believed would be impossible to find.
I-want-these-boots! :) And indeed, I had already given up the chase for the perfect rubberboot, and yet, here they are. :)
ReplyDeleteThose boots are totally worth of feeling smug! I am passionately shopping for good everday 40s-style shoes myself and they are not easy to find. High heeled shoes at equally high prices are everywhere but sensible shoes for walking and working at sensible prices? Not so much. You scored with these!
ReplyDelete(PS: Thanks for the comment on my blog. Much obliged!)
So had I, so I'm very happy. They are comfortable too, but if you want to wear thick socks in them, you need them one size bigger than your own feet. :)
ReplyDeleteAna: Good shoes are mot easy to find, I know, so even more reason to be happy when you find something. :) And thank YOU for commenting on mine!
ReplyDeleteOh, these are wonderful! The lining is such a pretty touch, too. I'll have to try finding these in the States...!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with Ana's point about darling but sensible shoes being difficult to find. In the US it seems to be sneakers, flip-flops, or nothing...so I wear high heels nearly everywhere. The things we do!
Jen: Yes, I really liked the lining! I hope you can find them! I usually wear high heels as well, but sometime sit isn't the best solution... :)
